Somsak Kongnaphakdee
Somsak Kongnaphakdee, the founder of VIF, is a renowned sculptor with an M.A. in ‘Art plastique’ from Paris 8 University. He has a history of exhibitions in France and previously established Thailand’s first public sculpture company in 2005.
Known for his acclaimed ‘Fat Dancer’ series, Somsak brings his personal artistry and creative expertise to every project at VIF. His work reflects a deep commitment to transforming spaces into meaningful artistic experiences, blending his individual vision with the mission of VIF.
Vision in Form
Founded in 2008, VIF (Vision in Form) transforms public spaces through innovative and timeless sculptures. The company specializes in creating bespoke artworks for both public and private environments, combining artistic vision with large-scale production.
One of VIF’s landmark achievements is the creation of sculptures for Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport’s new terminal, a project that contributed to its recognition as the 2024 Prix of Versailles winner for the world’s most beautiful airport. VIF is dedicated to connecting art, functionality, and community, leaving a lasting impression in every space it touches.
